Title

Configuration Changes on Server Not Seen by End Users

Product

PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60

Issue

Attribute and/or Keyboard configuration changes made on the PASSPORT Web to Host server are not seen by the end user(s).  How can this be resolved?

Solution

Any custom configuration settings made by the user(s) on their workstations are stored in local attribute and keyboard files. By default these are saved in the C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\PASSPORT Web to Host\ folder. These local settings will override any settings stored on the server, by default. If configuration changes are made on the server, which are not being seen at the workstation, below are the possible solutions:

    1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
    2. Open the session profile.
    3. Choose the Config Lock tab.
    4. Disable Local Keyboard Settings and/or Local Attribute Settings.
    5. Click OK to save or Connect to test.

At the user level:

    1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
    2. Open the user.
    3. Choose the Config Lock tab.
    4. Disable Local Keyboard Settings and/or Local Attribute Settings.
    5. Click OK to save.
