Title

Custom Settings Lost After Changing Path to Save Local Settings

Product

PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60

Issue

By default PASSPORT Web to Host stores custom settings made by end users in C:\Program Files\eClient Local Files\ on each user's workstation. This location is configurable from the Web to Host Administrator program on the Config Lock tab, which is available at the Session or User level. If the path to save local settings is modified after users have saved changes to their keyboard and/or attribute settings, all custom settings will be lost.

Solution

To recover lost settings, all .ZAT (Attributes) and .ZKB (Keyboard) files should be copied from the original location to the new path. A subfolder will exist for each emulation type and the file names will match the name of the session profile. For example, a TN3270 session named MySession will create MySession.zat and MySession.zkb in the 3270dsp folder.
