Each Workstation Using Two Licenses on Server
PASSPORT Web to Host
TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60
After upgrading to version 2004 of PASSPORT Web to Host, each workstation on my network is listed twice in the Licensed Users dialog box from the Administrator program, causing the number of licenses on my server to be cut in half. How can I prevent this?
This is caused when the primary PASSPORT Web to Host DLL (Ecomes.dll) is not updated on the server during setup. To prevent this from happening, make sure the Internet Information Server (IIS) web services are stopped before starting the setup program. This will insure that the DLL is unloaded from memory, allowing the updated version to be installed.
This issue has been resolved with version 2004-227 and newer.
