Issue

If I forget my PASSPORT administrator password, is there a way for me to recover it?

Solution

Please do the following to reset your password and create a new one:

1. Locate the file Passman.zwm (by default C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\ folder) on your PASSPORT Web to Host server.
2. Use a text editor (such as Notepad) to open the file.
3. Delete the encrypted password on the Password line (everything to the right of Password=) and save this file.
4. Open your PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program and choose the Tools®System Admin Information menu to create a new password.

More Information

• Administrators should be sure to set file permissions on the Passman.zwm file so that end-users cannot perform the above steps to gain access to the administrator program.
