Reusing Existing Files
PASSPORT Web to Host
TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60
Can I reuse my existing configuration files when upgrading to a new version of PASSPORT Web to Host?
Once you get PASSPORT Web to Host installed on the new server and have verified that everything is working OK you will need to copy the following folders from the old server to the same location on the new server:
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\3270dsp
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\3270prt
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\5250dsp
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\Groups
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\Users
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\Vtdsp
C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\Wysedsp
Keep in mind that if you are not utilizing any of the above components of PASSPORT Web to Host then it is not necessary to copy that particular folder. For example, if you only configured 3270 sessions on the original server, then only the 3270dsp folder would be required. Also, if you are not utilizing the Users and/or Groups feature of PASSPORT Web to Host, then you do not need to copy those folders.
After copying, you will need to ensure that these folders, their subfolders and files have at least read/write access assigned to the anonymous Internet User account.
