Issue
How do I customize the PASSPORT Web to Host Button Bar?
Solution
Any button may be mapped to a host key, dead key, text character, text string, macro, menu command or miscellaneous function. Follow the steps below:
From the Client:
- Start a PASSPORT Web to Host session.
- Choose the Options®Button Bars menu command.
- Select the appropriate Button Bar to customize.
- Highlight the button to modify, then choose the Edit button to display the Button Properties page.
- Type the text to display on the face of the button.
- Choose the Action tab.
- Select the appropriate category and action.
- Click OK to return to the Button Bars page
- Click OK to save.
From the Administrator:
- Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
- Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
- Select the Button Bars tab.
- Select the appropriate Button Bar to customize.
- Highlight the button to modify, then choose the Edit button to display the Button Properties page.
- Type the text to display on the face of the button.
- Choose the Action tab.
- Select the appropriate category and action.
- Click OK to return to the Button Bars page
- Click OK to save
- Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
- Select the Options tab.
- Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
- Click OK to save or Connect to test.

The Options®Button Bars menu command will only be available on client workstations if the system administrator has granted this permission. If it is unavailable, please contact the administrator.
