Issue

How do I customize the PASSPORT Web to Host Button Bar?

Solution

Any button may be mapped to a host key, dead key, text character, text string, macro, menu command or miscellaneous function. Follow the steps below:

From the Client:

  1. Start a PASSPORT Web to Host session.
  2. Choose the Options®Button Bars menu command.
  3. Select the appropriate Button Bar to customize.
  4. Highlight the button to modify, then choose the Edit button to display the Button Properties page.
  5. Type the text to display on the face of the button.
  6. Choose the Action tab.
  7. Select the appropriate category and action.
  8. Click OK to return to the Button Bars page
  9. Click OK to save.

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
  3. Select the Button Bars tab.
  4. Select the appropriate Button Bar to customize.
  5. Highlight the button to modify, then choose the Edit button to display the Button Properties page.
  6. Type the text to display on the face of the button.
  7. Choose the Action tab.
  8. Select the appropriate category and action.
  9. Click OK to return to the Button Bars page
  10. Click OK to save
  11. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  12. Select the Options tab.
  13. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  14. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
