How can I fill the remainder of the line with a special character after pasting in block mode?

Solution

When pasting in block mode in TN3270 and TN5250 emulation, you have the option to fill the remainder of the line with nulls, spaces or underscores. To enable this option:

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Select Edit from the Options menu:

  3. Select Customize.
  4. Enable the Fill field with option and choose either Nulls, Spaces or Underscores from the drop-down list.

  5. Click OK to save.

Note: when this option is enabled, PASSPORT will begin pasting the data that is contained in the clipboard at the current cursor position, then fill the remainder of the line or field with the selected character.
