Issue
Currently, when any AID key is pressed and held down only a single command is sent to the host. How can PASSPORT be configured to allow AID keys to repeat?
Solution
By default PASSPORT does not repeat AID keys, however sessions may be configured to allow this. Follow the steps below to enable:
For PASSPORT PC to Host:
- Start and connect a PASSPORT session.
- Choose the Options®Keyboard menu command.
- Make sure the Auto-Repeat for AID keys option is enabled:
- Click OK to save.
For PASSPORT Web to Host Client:
- Start and connect a PASSPORT session.
- Choose the Options®Keyboard menu command:
- Make sure the Auto-Repeat for AID keys option is enabled.
- Click OK to save.
For PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator:
- Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator application.
- Select the Attributes section for the 3270 Display or 5250 Display emulation type.
- Open an existing or create a new Attribute Profile by right-clicking and choosing New.
- Select the TN3270 or TN5250 tab.
- Make sure the Auto-Repeat for AID keys option is enabled:
- Click OK to save.
- Open the session profile.
- Select the Options tab.
- Make sure the Attribute Profile configured above is highlighted then click OK to save or Connect to test.
