Title

Esc Key Does Not Reset Keyboard

Product

PASSPORT PC to Host, PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270, TN5250

Issue

With my previous terminal emulator I was able to press the Esc key on the keyboard to unlock and reset the keyboard, however I'm not able to do this with PASSPORT.

Solution

By default, the PASSPORT keyboard map is configured to send the ATTENTION host key when the Esc key is pressed and the left Ctrl key is mapped to RESET. If you would like to use the Esc key to unlock the keyboard, you should map the Esc key to RESET and map ATTENTION to something different.
