Emulation Types

Issue
When I hit the F4 key in a VT session, it does not exit out of the application. What can I do to resolve this?
Solution
This could be caused by the F4 key being mapped to Null. You may re-map the F4 key to the PF4 host function to correct this problem. This can be done by following the steps below:
For PASSPORT PC to Host:
- Start a VT Session.
- Select Keyboard from the Options menu.
- Select the Customize button to display the Customize Keyboard Editor dialog box.
- Select the F4 key and select the Edit button.
- Under Category, select Host Key and assign PF4 from the Host Keys.
- Click OK twice.
- Type a name for your custom keyboard map or choose from an existing one.
- Click OK to save.
For PASSPORT Web to Host Client:
Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.
PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator:
- Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
- Click the plus sign to the left of the appropriate emulation type to expand (i.e. VT Display).
- Click Keyboards.
- Double click an existing keyboard map or right-click Keyboards and choose New to create a new one.
- Select the F4 key and select the Edit button.
- Under Category, select Host Key and assign PF4 from the Host Keys.
- Click OK twice to save.
- Open the session profile you wish to assign this custom keyboard map to and choose the Options tab.
- Select the keyboard map from above and click OK to save.
