Title

Pause Key On Wireless Keyboard Does Not Function

Product

PASSPORT PC to Host, PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60

Issue

We have users who are using the Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia keyboard. They are reporting that the Clear function in PASSPORT is not working as expected even though it is mapped to the Pause key by default. How can this issue be resolved?

Solution

Many wireless keyboards, including the Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia keyboard have keys that share multiple functions. In this case, the Pause and Scroll Lock functions both share the same key. In PASSPORT, by default, the Pause key is mapped to the Clear function and the Scroll Lock key is mapped to Null. You will need to re-map the Scroll Lock key to the Clear function as well in order for it to work as expected.
