Issue
Does PASSPORT provide support for the APL keyboard and font?
Solution
For PASSPORT PC to Host:
- Start a PASSPORT session.
- Select Fonts from the Options menu.
- Select PASSPORT True Type Font.
- Click OK to save.
- Select Keyboard from the Options menu.
- Under Custom Keyboard Map, browse to the APL.zkb keyboard file (default location for version 2007-914 and later is My Documents/PASSPORT PC to Host, for earlier versions the default location is C:/Program Files/PASSPORT)
- Click OK to save
For PASSPORT Web to Host:
From the Client:
Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.
From the Administrator:
- Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
- Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
- Select the Fonts tab.
- Select PASSPORT True Type Font.
- Click OK to save.
- Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
- Select the Options tab.
- Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
- Locate and select APL from the Keyboard Profile list.
- Click OK to save or Connect to test.

Beginning with PASSPORT PC to Host version 2011-506 and later, fully APL support is available with any font, including a general Windows True Type and Raster Font.

If you're using a version older than 2011-506, only the PASSPORT True Type font may be used to display the full APL character set. Using another font will only display a subset of the APL character set. Use the View®Keyboard Layout menu command to view a list of the APL character mappings.
