Issue

Can I import root certificates from my Certificate Authority for use with PASSPORT Web to Host?

Solution

PASSPORT Web to Host version 2004-930-2 and newer provides the ability to import root certificates from a Certificate Authority into the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator. Once the certificates have been imported, SSL-enabled sessions will use them to establish encrypted sessions to the host. Follow the steps below to import:

  1. Highlight Certificates in the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Right-click the right pane and choose Add Certificate from the pop-up menu.
  3. Browse to the location of the .CER file to import and click Open (must be Base-64 encoded X.509 format).
  4. The Certificate Information is displayed for you to review.
  5. Choose Add to complete the import.
