PASSTCP Socket Receive Error Return Code = 0
PASSPORT PC to Host, PASSPORT Web to Host
TN3270, TN5250
When trying to establish an SSL secure connection to my mainframe, I receive a "PASSTCP - Socket Receive Error - Return Code = 0" error message. What should I do?
If your mainframe is configured only for 128-bit encryption and you have an evaluation version of PASSPORT, or you purchased PASSPORT outside the United States, it is capable of only 40-bit encryption.
To correct this, you will need to upgrade to PASSPORT 2007, which includes 128-bit encryption.
If you have verified that you are running the 128-bit level of encryption then the problem may be a configuration issue on the TN3270E SSL Server. If you have SSL configured on an OS/390 TN3270E Server, click here for more information.
