Can I reset insert mode whenever an AID key is sent to the host?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

Yes, you can enable or disable the option to reset the insert mode whenever an AID key is sent to the host. This option is enabled by default. When this option is enabled, insert mode is turned off whenever an AID key (Enter, PF1, etc.) is sent to the host. When it is disabled, insert mode is not affected when AID keys are sent to the host.  

 
  1. Select TN3270 from the Options menu:

  2. Enable/disable the check box next to Reset Insert Mode when AID Sent to Host

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host

 

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
  3. Select TN3270.

  4. Enable/disable the check box next to Reset Insert Mode when AID Sent to Host.
  5. Click OK to save.
  6. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  7. Select the Options tab.
  8. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  9. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
