Issue

Does PASSPORT support TN3270 Non-SNA Command Chaining for Visara Controllers?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

1. Start a PASSPORT session.
2. With your session disconnected, choose the Miscellaneous tab from Communication Setup.
3. Enable the TN3270 Non-SNA Command Chaining option.
4. Click the Connect button to test.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Administrator:

1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
2. Locate and open the 3270 Display session profile.
3. Choose the Miscellaneous tab.
4. Enable the TN3270 Non-SNA Command Chaining option.
5. Click the OK button to save or the Connect button to test.

More Information

• Enable this option only if connecting through a Visara controller or another controller that requires TN3270 Non-SNA command chaining. The Visara controller requires the TN3270 client to do the 3270 command chaining required by Non-SNA Master Console operation. If not connecting through a Visara controller, this option should be disabled. This option is only available for TN3270 sessions.
