Title

VT420 7-bit Screen Does Not Display Correctly

Issue

When PASSPORT is configured to use VT420 7-bit the screen is displaying gibberish.  If changed to VT420 8-bit, the screen displays correctly, but the keyboard does not work correctly with certain keys such as END, F11, etc.

Solution

This problem occurs because the host is sending back VT420 8-bit data, but expecting 7-bit data from PASSPORT.  To resolve this, configure your session for VT420 8-bit and re-map your keyboard to use VT420 7-bit, or desired escape sequences.  See link below on how to re-map VT escape sequences:
