Issue
I would like to include information from system variables in the PASSPORT window title. Is this possible?
Solution
For PASSPORT PC to Host:
- Start a PASSPORT session.
- Choose the Options®Window Title menu command.
- Make sure the Session Name option is checked.
- Type the system variable name(s) in the space provided. For example, %USERNAME% displays the currently logged in user or %COMPUTERNAME% displays the workstation name.
- Click OK to save.
From the Client:
Instructions are the same as those for PC to Host.
From the Administrator:
- Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
- Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
- Select the Window Title tab.
- Make sure the Session Name option is checked.
- Type the system variable name(s) in the space provided. For example, %USERNAME% displays the currently logged in user or %COMPUTERNAME% displays the workstation name.
- Click OK to save.
- Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
- Select the Options tab.
- Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
- Click OK to save or Connect to test.
