Issue

I would like to include information from system variables in the PASSPORT window title. Is this possible?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Choose the Options®Window Title menu command.
  3. Make sure the Session Name option is checked.
  4. Type the system variable name(s) in the space provided. For example, %USERNAME% displays the currently logged in user or %COMPUTERNAME% displays the workstation name.   
  5. Click OK to save.

From the Client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PC to Host. 

 

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
  3. Select the Window Title tab.
  4. Make sure the Session Name option is checked.
  5. Type the system variable name(s) in the space provided. For example, %USERNAME% displays the currently logged in user or %COMPUTERNAME% displays the workstation name.
  6. Click OK to save.
  7. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  8. Select the Options tab.
  9. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  10. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
