Issue

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Make sure that a PASSPORT version with SSL support is running on your workstation. From your PASSPORT session, choose the Help->About menu command and make sure that you have an S in the version number. For example, version 2010-514-S. If you don't have an SSL version, contact Rocket Software Sales to purchase this option.
  2. Make sure SSL is enabled on your host. Check with your System Administrator.
  3. Make sure the TCP Port is correctly entered on the Communication®Setup screen. In most cases, the SSL port being used is different than the normal telnet port of 23. Check with your System Administrator for this information.
  4. Make sure the Enable SSL Secure Connection option is enabled on the SSL tab of the Communication®Setup screen.
  5. If you're a remote user, check with your System Administrator to make sure that your firewall is allowing Telnet/SSL traffic through.
