Reject Request: PostKeepSessionAlive Message encode Error: No MsgName is defined
PASSPORT Web to Host
TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60
Get the following "Reject Request: PostKeepSessionAlive Message encode Error: No MsgName is defined!" dialog displayed on client workstation after upgrading to a new version:
This occurs when the web services have not been restarted after installing the new version. The old servlet is still loaded into memory on PASSPORT Web to Host Server, but the client workstation has downloaded the new ActiveX control. The new ActiveX control is sending a message to the servlet that it knows nothing about. By restarting the web services on the server, the new servlet will be loaded and the error should no longer display.
If you’re doing an OS/390 installation, check to make sure that you have copied the latest Java servlet files to your server. These files are located where your servlet path is defined. Check your zepos390ftp.log (located in the root of the C:\ drive on the PC where you perform the installation from) for the exact location. The date of these files should match the install date. Also check to make sure that your web server was restarted after the installation so that the Java servlet files are updated.
If you’re doing an IIS installation, make sure that your server was rebooted after the installation.
