Issue

Changing the default record length of 256 to 80

Solution

The Communication®Quote menu command opens the Quote dialog box for entering an FTP command to send directly to the remote server.  Click the OK button to accept the entry or click the Cancel button to cancel the entry.

The Communication®Quote command function can be duplicated by the following:
 

Alt + C, Q key sequence when you are connected to a host

The following is an example of Quote commands that you can use to do a file transfer from your PC to an MVS mainframe and control the record length:

SITE LRECL=80 BLKSIZE=3120 RECFM=FB
