Issue

Currently, when I view a text file from the PASSPORT FTP Client that is not associated with a particular program, it is opened in Notepad. Is it possible to use a different program for this?

Solution

Follow the steps below to configure the PASSPORT FTP Client:

1. Start the PASSPORT FTP Client.
2. Choose the Communication®Setup menu command.
3. Select the Settings tab.
4. Type the name of the new program in the Default Viewer field, or browse to locate it.
5. Click OK to save.

More Information

• If a file type is already associated with Notepad or another program, as indicated by the icon, it can only be viewed with that program.
