Title

File Corrupted Message After Transfer

Product

PASSPORT FTP Client

Issue

After transferring a file from my workstation to the host, I get a message that the file is corrupted when trying to open the file on the host.

Solution

This is normally caused when the file is transferred using the wrong format. If the file was transferred using ASCII format, try the transfer again after selecting Binary as the format. Follow the steps below to configure the PASSPORT FTP Client for Binary:

  1. Start the PASSPORT FTP Client and connect to the host computer.
  2. Choose the Transfer®Binary menu command or click the Binary Button on the toolbar to toggle the transfer format to binary.
