Setting Host Path to Different Directory or Data Set

Issue

I am able to successfully connect to a host using the PASSPORT FTP Client and see the files listed in the default directory. However, I would like to view the files in a different directory.

Solution

To set the host path to a particular directory each time a connection is made to the host, follow the steps below:

1. Choose the Communication®Settings menu command.
2. Highlight the profile to edit.
3. Enter the path in the Initial Path field.
   
   
4. Click Connect to save and connect.

More Information

• Depending on the FTP host you are connecting to, you may be required to enclose the path in single quotes. For example, if the host is a mainframe running the TSO operating system the path should be entered similar to the following:
  
  'my.data.set'
