Issue

I am unable to transfer files with a .ZIP extension and the PASSPORT FTP Client displays the following "Transfer of entire folder has not been implemented in this version" message. How can I overcome this?

Solution

The FTP Client that is included with PASSPORT PC to Host version 2004-3B30-4 and PASSPORT Web to Host version 2004-3722-3 has the ability to transfer a ZIP file. Versions prior to this will warn the user that the transfer of folders has not been implemented. If you have a need to transfer ZIP files, you will need to upgrade.

More Information

• A work-around for versions prior to 2004-3722-3 is to rename the ZIP file before attempting the transfer then renaming back to the original file name after successfully transferring. For example, MyZipFile.zip could be renamed to MyZipFile.zip.bin.
