Issue

How can previous file transfer names be remembered and re-executed?

Solution

1. Select Send or Receive from the Transfer menu. This will display either the IND$FILE File Transfer or FTP File Transfer dialog box, depending on the File Transfer Method selected from the Options®Transfer dialog box.
2. Choose an existing transfer list from the drop-down list. Choose <none> to clear the list or <recent transfer list> to add the most recently transferred file(s) to the current list.
3. Use the following buttons to manage the currently selected list:
   

   • Click   to save the current transfer list

   •  Click to add a new item to the transfer list

   •  Click to delete the currently selected item from the transfer list

   •  Click to move the currently selected item up in the list

   •  Click to move the currently selected item down in the list

More Information

• Version 2007 and newer now saves a list of the last 16 file transfers on the Transfer menu command. See this topic.

• For versions prior to version 2007, the only way to remember file names for future file transfers would be to record a macro while performing the file transfer.  The macro could then be copied and edited for other file names.
