Issue

How can I use IND$FILE file transfer to append data to an existing file on my TSO mainframe operating system?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

1. Select Transfer from the Options menu:
   
   
2. Select the desired transfer scheme type and click Customize.
3. Select the tab for the appropriate transfer type (CMS, CICS, TSO) and customize the parameters as desired:
   
   

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Client:

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.

From the Administrator:

1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
3. Select Transfer:
   
   
4. Under Select Transfer Scheme, select Customize:
   
   
5. Select the appropriate tab for your host type.
6. Edit the parameters as desired.
7. Click Save to save your changes.
8. Click OK to save your attribute profile.
9. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
10. Select the Options tab.
11. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
12. Click OK to save or Connect to test.

• For versions prior to 2007, use the Transfer®Send menu command then select Custom under File Type and specify the following:
  
  ASCII CRLF APPEND
