Issue

Currently, when I transfer a text file from the host to my workstation, an end of file indicator is Published to the bottom of the text. Is there a way to prevent this?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

1. Start a PASSPORT session.
2. Choose the Options®Transfer menu command.
3. Select Customize
4. Check the Remove End of File indicator on Receive option.
5. Click OK to save.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Client:

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host. 

From the Administrator:

1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
3. Choose the Transfer tab.
4. Select Customize
5. Check the Remove End of File indicator on Receive option.
6. Click OK to save.
7. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
8. Select the Options tab.
9. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
10. Click OK to save or Connect to test.

• The Options®Transfer menu command will only be available on client workstations if the system administrator has granted this permission. If it is unavailable, please contact the administrator.
