Issue

I have recorded a macro, which uses the SendHostKeys command to send a long text string to the host screen. When I run the macro, I receive the following "An invalid string was passed to SendHostKeys" error message:

Solution

This error is due to a 255 character limit on the text string parameter of the SendHostKeys command.

More Information

• This issue has been resolved in PASSPORT PC to Host version 2004-2430 SP-2 and PASSPORT Web to Host version 2004-930-2. With this version, any text string that surpasses the 255 character limit will be split into smaller SendHostKeys commands.
