Issue
The entire contents of the PASSPORT session screen may be printed to a file using a macro provided with PASSPORT. The file may then be viewed or printed using any text editor.
Solution
- Choose the Macro®Run menu command, or press the Run button on the toolbar. The Open dialog box will appear, allowing you to choose from a list of macros to run.
- Select the prt2file.zmc file, then click the Open button. A dialog box will prompt you to Enter File Name.
- Enter a name for the file you want to print the screen to. Include the full path along with the file name. For example, you could enter, "c:\My Documents\myfile.txt". If you do not enter a path, the file will be created in the default PASSPORT folder.
- Click the OK button.
More Information
-
This option is useful when the information on the screen is needed in electronic format. The contents of the screen print can be easily copied into other reports or files that are also in electronic format.
-
If you need to append the screen contents to an existing file, you may follow the above steps using the app2file.zmc macro in place of prt2file.zmc.
