Issue

If we use PASSPORT with Host Integration Objects (HIO) to connect to a session via the ActiveX control can we use HLLAPI calls to control/communicate with that session (ActiveX control)?

Solution

To control the ActiveX within your application, you will need to use PASSPORT Host Integration Objects, and not the HLLAPI API.
