Running Mismatch Version of Client and Server
PASSPORT WEB TO HOST

Can I connect to a PASSPORT WEB TO HOST server using an older PASSPORT WEB TO HOST client?
In version 2004-930-2 or older, users cannot launch a session if the PASSPORT client version on their workstation is older than the PASSPORT version installed on the server. This is typically due to not having the necessary user permission, IE security settings, etc. to download the new client on the server. When launching a session, they will either get the error "ExceptionClient/server version mismatch" or the session would lock up.
Upgrading to PASSPORT WEB TO HOST version 2007-1516-1 and later corrected this problem. The new version gives the ability to launch a session even if the users don't have the new PASSPORT ActiveX client installed on their systems. However, they will not see any of the new PASSPORT features provided by the new client.
Zephyr strongly recommends that you upgrade the PASSPORT WEB TO HOST client version to match with the server version to prevent any unpredictable results.
ALL PCs running PASSPORT WEB TO HOST Client must be configured to allow the downloading, installing and running of ActiveX components, or else unpredictable results may occur.
