Title

Invalid License Code During Web to Host Installation

Product

PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60

Issue

I am getting an "Invalid License Code" error message at installation time. What should I do?

Solution

Please check for the following:

  1. Make sure that everything is entered correctly.  If you received your license code from Rocket Software via email, you should copy and paste the license code from your email to the License Code field. This will prevent any problems between numbers and letters such as 0 and O or 1 and l. Also, make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces after pasting the license code.
  2. If you have an existing evaluation copy installed on your PC, or an evaluation copy that has expired on your PC, you must request a new license code.  The license code that was emailed to you at the time of download will not work in this situation.
  3. If your operating system is Windows 2000 Server, you may need to have your network administrator add your domain account to the local Administrators group.

If you're still having problems after going through the check list, please contact Rocket Software Technical Support.
