Clientless Terminal Emulation with PASSPORT Host Integration Objects (HIO)

August 31, 2011 - This week, we have released the new version of PASSPORT Host Integration Objects 2011-826 (HIO); this software is available for immediate download here.

Along with the release of this version of HIO, we are providing open access to a sample z/OS application running under our CICS environment. Access to this host application will enable users to more quickly familiarize themselves with the HIO core functions and methods as well as gain a full understanding of the sample applications provided with PASSPORT HIO.

Download our easy guides to get full details on how the sample applications work and how to access the test CICS system for development purposes.

PASSPORT HIO is our market-leading, non-intrusive IBM System z (mainframe) and IBM i (AS/400) host application integration software that allows fast creation of custom .NET applications to access and integrate with existing host based systems.

AutoHTML – System z (3270) or IBM i (5250) access from any device anywhere! We have provided a new, functioning ASP .NET application to enable instant host access from any browser on any device. Since this is clientless software, it can easily be fully authenticated and encrypted in the same way as any browser session. The AutoHTML application is quickly and easily customized for your own host systems in minutes. Download our guide to find out how.

You can quickly try this for yourself. Just click on the link or copy and paste into any browser enabled device: http://www.zephyrcorp.com/autohtml/

New sample applications and source code
- We have written a new sample C# .NET application and re-written existing ones to use our own CICS based host application. These applications will allow users to quickly familiarize themselves with both our server and client based custom HIO applications. The sample applications are well documented within the HIO documentation, but we have also written these quick guides to get you started.
