Zephyr Announces Availability of PASSPORT Host Integration Objects™ 2006

Microsoft-based host integration solution features new sample applications, added security and more

This release of the Zephyr application includes new sample applications, added security and more. Highlights of the 2006 release of PASSPORT HIO include:

• SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Security
• C# .NET Sample Application
• VB .NET Sample Application
• Win32 C++ (non-MFC) Sample Console Application
• Telnet "Keep Alive" Feature
• Documentation now contains C# sample code for all methods, properties and events. This is in addition to the sample code in C++ and Visual Basic.
• International version is available that includes additional host code pages, keyboard support and character set support. The US version only includes US host code pages.

PASSPORT HIO offers a programmatic, object-oriented method of integrating IBM 3270 mainframe and IBM 5250 AS/400 host applications with .NET, Visual C++ or VB applications using the host screen as an API (screen-scraping). The Zephyr solution features a mature TN3270 and TN5250 communications module and Object API, based on the IETF OHIO standard, and can be published from either a Microsoft Windows 2003 or 2000 Server, or a Microsoft Windows XP or 2000 desktop. PASSPORT HIO offers a low-cost, but proven, platform for fast, efficient host integration.
