March 16, 2011 - Zephyr is pleased to announce the support of Microsoft Windows^® 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with its PASSPORT family of 3270, 5250 and UNIX terminal emulation products.

Windows 7 SP1, an important Microsoft update that includes previously released security, performance and stability updates for Windows 7, will be considered by many corporate users to be a critical milestone in terms of their adoption of the new desktop operating standard.

The PASSPORT terminal emulation software has been tested with Windows 7 SP1 and found to be fully "Compatible with Windows 7". PASSPORT is often used as an alternative to terminal emulation solutions from Attachmate^® and Micro Focus^®. 

"The release of Windows 7 SP1 will help usher in a 2-3 year migration period of customers transitioning from Windows XP to the latest Microsoft desktop operating system", said David Muck, President, Zephyr. This time frame comes from data just collected in the annual Zephyr customer survey.
