Does PASSPORT offer the ability to record macros?
PASSPORT offers extensive macro capabilities using Microsoft Visual Basic Script. Macros can be used to record keystrokes to automate routine
functions such as launching a host session, launching an HTML page, navigating through the
host session to a specific screen, specific field, specific row and column position and much more.
Can Attachmate EXTRA!® macros
be used with PASSPORT?
Yes, to ease the transition from Attachmate EXTRA!® to PASSPORT,
Zephyr created an Attachmate Macro Conversion Tool that automatically
converts the proprietary Attachmate macros, developed using EXTRA!
Objects, into standard Visual Basic (for use with PASSPORT).
The Attachmate EXTRA!® Macro Conversion Tool is not sold, but is
offered as a free service for Zephyr clients that have at least 500 units of software licensed under an annual Subscription
License Agreement (SLA). For more information, please contact us

Can you execute a PASSPORT Menu Command with a macro?
Yes, any menu command, such as Cut, Copy and Paste, can be executed using one of two methods: SelectArea and ExecMenuCmd.
Can any text editor be used to edit PASSPORT macros?
Yes, any text editor can be used to edit a PASSPORT macro.
Can a dead key be recorded in a PASSPORT macro?
Yes, a dead key, such as a Tilde key, can be recorded in a PASSPORT macro.
Can a macro be used to fully disconnect and close a host session?
Yes, with PASSPORT you can run an Exit macro to fully disconnect and close the host session.
Can you disable the PC keyboard while a macro is running?
Yes, the ability to disable the PC keyboard while a macro is running is provided with PASSPORT.
