PASSPORT offers extensive macro capabilities using Microsoft Visual Basic Script. Macros can be used to record keystrokes to automate routine functions such as launching a host session, launching an HTML page, navigating through the host session to a specific screen, specific field, specific row and column position and much more.

Can Attachmate EXTRA!^® macros be used with PASSPORT?

Yes, to ease the transition from the use of the Attachmate EXTRA!^® terminal emulation software to the alternative PASSPORT terminal emulation software, Zephyr created an Attachmate^® Macro Conversion Tool that automatically converts the Attachmate^® macros, developed using EXTRA! Objects, into a format that can be used with the PASSPORT terminal emulation.

The Attachmate EXTRA!^® Macro Conversion Tool is not sold, but is offered as a free service for clients that have at least 500 units of software licensed under an annual Subscription License Agreement (SLA). For more information, please contact us.

Yes, any menu command, such as Cut, Copy and Paste, can be executed using one of two methods: SelectArea and ExecMenuCmd.
