PASSPORT PC TO HOST is widely used as an alternative to other terminal emulators, including terminal emulators from Attachmate® and MicroFocus® (formerly NetManage). HLLAPI, macros, SSL security and other advanced features are found in the Zephyr terminal emulation for Windows 7. Free macro conversion is offered for customers that license more than 500 units of the PASSPORT software and a “Switch to PASSPORT” Utility is available to automatically convert configuration files to the PASSPORT format.
PASSPORT PC TO HOST can be deployed using MSI or other standard publishing tools. The terminal emulation suite can also be hosted on a virtual server from Citrix, Microsoft or VMware, or simply accessed from a Microsoft Windows Server.
About PASSPORT WEB TO HOST®
The current version of PASSPORT WEB TO HOST® terminal emulation software offers centralized administration and configuration of the ActiveX TN3270E, TN5250E, VT, SCO ANSI and Wyse clients from any standard web server. The software also includes FTP file transfer. PASSPORT WEB TO HOST® can be deployed directly from z/OS using Apache/Tomcat, BEA WebLogic, or IBM® WebSphere® Application Server either under USS or Linux. It can also be deployed from Microsoft IIS or any web server that can run Java applications. Like PASSPORT PC TO HOST, PASSPORT WEB TO HOST includes HLLAPI, macros, SSL/SSH security and much more.
