Issue

Is it possible to disable menu commands to prevent user(s) from making changes to the session profiles that I have configured on the server?

Solution

You can prevent user(s) from making changes to keyboard and/or attribute settings from the Web to Host Administrator program. This can be done by disabling the appropriate menu commands or by completely disallowing any changes to be saved. This can also be done at the session, user or group level.

Follow the steps below to configure at the session level:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Open the session profile to configure.
  3. Select the Config Lock tab.
  4. To prevent users from saving changes to the keyboard settings, make sure the Local Keyboard Settings option is disabled.
  5. To prevent users from saving changes to the attribute settings, make sure the Local Attribute Settings option is disabled.
  6. To disable individual menu commands, choose the appropriate category to display a list of available commands then disable as needed.
  7. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
