Displaying Licensing Information
PASSPORT Web to Host
TN3270, TN5250, VT, SCO ANSI, Wyse 60
Is it possible to display information regarding the number of licenses available on my PASSPORT Web to Host Server?
Choosing the Tools®Licensing Information menu command from the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator application will display the Licensing dialog box. This contains the following:
License Count
The number of users that are licensed to run the PASSPORT Web to Host
client at their workstation.
License Code
The license code shipped with your software. To add more licenses to
this server installation, you can obtain a new code from your software
vendor and enter it here. Click OK for the new changes to take effect.
Metering Timer Interval
This timing value is expressed in minutes and can range from 15 minutes
to 60 minutes. The default is 30 minutes. Each PASSPORT Web to Host
client sends a request to the PASSPORT Web to Host server component
at each metering timer interval. This request is made to ensure that
the client is licensed to use the software.
View Licensed Users
This button displays a dialog box containing the list of users licensed
for PASSPORT Web to Host. Each user is identified by the machine name
of the computer that downloaded the PASSPORT Web to Host ActiveX component.
This dialog box allows you to add, rename or remove licensed users.
This is useful if a user gets a new PC with a different machine name,
or if a certain user is no longer employed. Also displayed, at the
top of this dialog box, are the Total Licenses, Licenses Available
and Total In Use.
Note: this button is only available if per-seat licensing was
purchased and will not be displayed for concurrent licensing.
