Issue

Is it possible to automatically copy selected text without requiring the user to Ctrl-C or right-click then Copy to perform the copy function?  If so, how can PASSPORT be configured to accomplish this?

Solution

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Select Edit from the Options menu.
  3. Click on the Customize button.
  4. Enable the Automatic copy selected area option.

  5. Click OK to save.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

 

From the Client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.

 

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Select Attributes under the emulation type that you are using.
  3. Open an existing attribute profile, or create a new one by right-clicking and selecting New from the pop-up menu.
  4. Choose Edit from the left window pane and enable the Automatic copy selected area option:

  5. Click OK to save your attribute profile.
  6. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  7. Select the Options tab.
  8. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  9. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
