Issue

Can I map a URL to a Hotspot?

Solution

Yes, by enabling the Match URL feature for Hotspots, URL text that displays on the screen such as http://www.zephyrcorp.com, will be automatically linked to that URL. Follow the steps below to enable this feature:

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Choose the Options®Hotspots menu command.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. Enable the check box next to Match URL

  5. Click OK to save the custom hotspot profile.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.

 

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
  3. Select the Hotspots tab.
  4. Click the Customize button.
  5. Enable the check box next to Match URL:

  6. Click OK to save the custom hotspot profile.
  7. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  8. Select the Options tab.
  9. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  10. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
