Title

APL Characters Not Displaying Properly

Product

PASSPORT PC to Host, PASSPORT Web to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270

Issue

APL characters not displaying properly.

Solution

In order for the APL characters to be displayed, check the following:

  1. You must have PASSPORT configured for extended attributes
  2. You must log on to a mainframe with a log mode that supports extended attributes
  3. You must also configure PASSPORT to use one of the PASSPORT fonts. Full APL support is provided with the PASSPORT True Type font. The PASSPORT Terminal Font provides support for a subset of APL characters, including all of the line drawing and APL characters necessary for SAS/GRAPH to display its borders correctly. *

    * Note:  PASSPORT PC to Host version 2011-506 and later fully supports APL characters with any font, including Windows True Type and Windows Raster Font.
