How can I configure PASSPORT to display the OIA divider line?
The OIA (Operator Information Area) is the area at the bottom of the screen where session indicators and messages appear. Session indicators show information about the workstation, host system, and attachment. Having a dividing line helps users clearly delineate the host application screen area from the session indicators. The color of the divider line matches the color of the OIA Foreground, which may be customized using the Options®Colors menu command. The default OIA Foreground color is white. Prior to the addition of the OIA Divider Line, the only way to distinguish between the host screen and the OIA was to make sure the OIA Background color and the Screen Background color were set to different colors (see below).
With OIA Background color set to white:
With OIA Divider Line:
Rocket Software has released a patch for PASSPORT PC to Host Version 2010-514, which enables the OIA divider line.
How to Apply the Patch:
Copy Passport.exe from the downloaded patch file to the folder where PASSPORT PC to Host is installed and overwrite the existing file. The default location is: C:\Program Files\PASSPORT\.
Note: it is recommended to make a copy of the original file before overwriting in case you need to revert back to this for any reason.
