Toolbar Tool Tips Not Displaying For Custom Buttons

Issue

I have created a custom toolbar and have the Show Tool Tips option enabled, however, Tool Tips do not display for buttons past the 6th item in the Toolbar Buttons list (including separators). How can this be corrected so that all Tool Tips are displayed?

Solution

Rocket Software has released patches for PASSPORT PC to Host version 2009-403 and PASSPORT Web to Host version 2009-619 to ensure that all Tool Tips are displayed correctly.

How to Apply the Patch:

PC to Host:

This patch must be applied to version 2009-403 of PASSPORT PC to Host only. If this is not done, unpredictable results may occur. If you have any questions, you can contact your support representative directly.

1. Make sure PASSPORT PC to Host is not running
2. Unzip the contents of the downloaded ZIP file to your local PC

3. Copy Passport.exe, Passport???.dll (6 files), and PassVT.dll to the directory where PASSPORT PC to Host is installed. The default directory is C:\Program Files\PASSPORT\

Web to Host:

This patch must be applied to version 2009-619 of PASSPORT Web to Host only. If this is not done, unpredictable results may occur. If you have any questions, you can contact your support representative directly.

1. Make sure PASSPORT Web to Host is not running
2. Unzip the contents of the downloaded ZIP file to a folder on the Web to Host server

3. For Windows IIS installation:
   Copy PassMan.cab and PassMan.htm into the C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\ folder
   Copy Passweb.cab and Ecomes.asp into the C:\Program Files\PASSPORT eClient Admin\Eclient\ folder
   
   For a Java Application Server installation:
   FTP or copy the Passweb.cab and Ecomes.asp to the location on the web server where the Passweb.cab file already resides

• This issue has been addressed in PASSPORT PC to Host 2010-514 and PASSPORT Web to Host version 2010-430.

• If you are experiencing this problem with an older version of PASSPORT PC to Host, you must either upgrade to version 2009-403 and apply the patch or upgrade to version 2010-514.

• If you are experiencing this problem with an older version of PASSPORT Web to Host, you must either upgrade to version 2009-619 and apply the patch or upgrade to version 2010-430.
