Passport 32 bit Application Has Encountered A Problem and Needs to Close While Customizing Keyboard

When attempting to customize my keyboard, I get the following "Passport 32 Bit Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." error message:
This will occur when the workstation receiving the error has been upgraded to a newer version of PASSPORT Web to Host, then connects to a server with an older version of the software installed. Even if the ActiveX component has been removed and re-downloaded, this will still occur. This happens if the keyboard DLL for PASSPORT does not get removed, which causes a version mismatch. This has been fixed in PASSPORT Web to Host version 2004-227.

This may also occur when closing the IE window if you are using PASSPORT Web to Host 2004-3722-3 with Internet Explorer 7. Please see this topic.
