Issue

Does the PASSPORT setup program install any Microsoft Windows system DLL's?

Solution

Since PASSPORT uses the latest Microsoft compiler technology during setup, the following list of DLL's will get copied to the target workstation if an outdated version is detected:

• mfc42.dll

• msvcrt.dll

• olepro32.dll

• oleaut32.dll

• scrrun.dll

• vbscript.dll

More Information

• Beginning with version 2007-914, we do not install these DLLs anymore.  They're all statically linked to the executable files.
