Issue

How does the PASSPORT client communicate back to the PASSPORT Web to Host server indicating that it has ended its session?

Solution

PASSPORT Web to Host uses a Metering Timer Interval. This timing value is expressed in minutes and can range from 15 minutes to 60 minutes. The default is 30 minutes. Each PASSPORT Web to Host client sends a request to the PASSPORT Web to Host server component at each metering timer interval. This request is made to ensure that the client is licensed to use the software.
