Title

Switching from Block to Stream Paste Mode

Issue

We currently have users who are using both Block Mode and Stream Mode paste options. Is there an easier way of switching between these two paste modes? If so, how can this be accomplished in PASSPORT?

Solution

This can be accomplished by mapping the *.zes edit scheme file to the PASSPORT toolbar. In order to do so, please follow the steps below:

 

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Select Edit from the Options menu.
  3. Select the Customize button to display the Edit Scheme dialog box.
  4. For Paste Mode, select Block Mode from the drop down list and hit OK to save:

  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 but instead, select Stream mode from the drop down list.
  6. Select Toolbar from the Options menu.
  7. Select the Customize button to display the Customize Toolbar dialog box.
  8. Click the Add button to add a new button.
  9. Fill out the Text field and the Tool Tip field and click the Action tab.
  10. Under Category, select Miscellaneous.
  11. Under Miscellaneous, choose Apply Setting-Edit and click the Browse button.

  12. Select the Block mode .ZES edit scheme file and click Open.

  13. Hit OK and click the Save button to save the toolbar.
  14. Repeat steps 6 through 13 but instead, select the stream mode .ZES edit scheme file.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

 

In order for this to work with PASSPORT Web to Host, the administrator must allow users to save their settings locally.

 

From the client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host.
